Rachel’s Cornbread

1 cup white corn meal
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 egg
1 cup milk
1 tablespoon sugar


Mix dry ingredients together. Add egg and milk. Use additional milk if mixture is too thick.

Turn into a greased black cast-iron skillet and bake at 400 degrees until golden brown.
