I don’t know where I got this recipe; it might have been from a chef friend back in Memphis, Buddy Bland. But I just don’t remember.

Ingredients

3 tsp salt
6 tsp Paprika
4 T onion powder
3 tsp garlic powder
3 tsp filé powder
3 tsp thyme
1.5 tsp basil
3/4 tsp each of white, black, and cayenne peppers

Combine and store in a tight container away from heat and light.
