Our Honey Bees

These are the bees nests in our tree in Houston; in our next door neighbor’s tree; and in our across the street neighbor’s tree.

Below is the nest in our next-door neighbor’s tree. It’s nearly as large as a football, and hangs only 6 or 7 feet above the ground and is right next to the sidewalk between our two drives. I’m concerned about it being so close to humans.

The one below is in our across the street neighbor’s tree; and is maybe 30-35 feet off the ground. It’s as large or larger than a beach ball.
