Ginger Brined Chicken Wings

by Nov 18, 2016Poultry

I recently tried a cola brine, and it imparted a delicious sweet flavor to chicken thighs. Today, I had no cola, but I had plenty of ginger ale.

INGREDIENTS

16 chicken wings

2 cans of Ginger Ale

3/4 cup soy sauce

1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce

3/4 cup brown sugar

1 teaspoon dry mustard

DIRECTIONS

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Combine ginger ale, soy sauce, hot pepper sauce, sugar, and mustard. Place over low heat and stir until sugar is dissolved. Then set aside to cool.

Place chicken wings in marinade and refrigerate for 4 hours to overnight.

Place chicken wings on a baking sheet and roast for 30 to 45 minutes or until wings have browned lightly (Turn after about 15 minutes.). Remove to drain on rack or on paper towels.

Serve hot or cold.
